Can you please give the tafseer of Sura Al Nisa Ayat 69
Can you please give the tafseer of Sura Al Nisa, Ayat 69. Please shine light on the “Ahmadiyya” version of tafseer of this ayat, if that is wrong.
Please emphasize on the meaning of “Al-Rusool” in this ayat.
Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem.
Alhamdulillaahi was salaatu was salaamu `alaa Rasoolillaahi wa `alaa aalihi wa sahbihi wa man waalaahu, wa ba`d:
The Aayah in question is:
“And whoever obeys Allaah and the Messenger then they will be with those whom Allaah had favoured of the Ambiyaa, the Siddiqeen, the martyrs and the righteous and excellent are they as companions.” – Surah An-Nisaa, Aayah 69.
Imaam At-Tabaraanee Rahimahullaah reports in an authentic Hadeeth:
“A man came to Nabi Sallallaahu `Alayhi Wa Sallam and said: ‘O Messenger of Allaah (Sallallaahu `Alayhi Wa Sallam), I take an oath by Allaah that verily you are more beloved to me than my own self, and verily you are more beloved to me than my family, and you are more beloved to me than my children. When I am in my home I remember you and I cannot contain myself but that I have to come to you and see you, and when I think of my death and you passing away I am aware that when you enter paradise you will be raised with the Ambiyaa (`Alayhimus Salaam), and when I enter paradise I fear that I will not see you.’ But Nabi Sallallaahu `Alayhi Wa Sallam did not reply to him until Jibreel `Alayhis Salaam came down with this verse: ‘And whoever obeys Allaah and the Messenger then they will be with those whom Allaah had favoured of the Ambiyaa, the Siddiqeen, the martyrs and the righteous.’” –Al-Mu`jamul Awsat. [i]
That is the reason why the Aayah was revealed, and this makes it crystal clear as to whom the Rasool is that is mentioned in the Aayah.
From an Arabic point of view the word used is Ar-Rasool” meaning “The-Rasool”, this alif and laam is used to change an indefinite noun into a definite one and is termed in Arabic “Al-Mu`arrafu Bil Alifi Wal Laam”, so this “Ar-Rasool” refers to a specific Rasool, which is Rasoolullaah Sallallaahu `Alayhi Wa Sallam, as Allaah uses this term over and over in the Qur’aan.
For instance Allaah says in Surah Al-A`raaf, Aayah 157:
“Those who follow The-Rasool, The-Nabi, the unlettered one that they find written about in what they have of the Torah and the Injeel, he commands them with what is good and prohibits them from that which is evil, and he permits for them that which is pure and he forbids for them that which is impure, and he removed from them their burden and the shackles that were upon them. So they who have believed in him, honoured him, supported him and they have followed the light that has been revealed with him, they are the ones who will be successful.”
This Rasool that Allaah speaks of is Rasoolullaah Sallallaahu `Alayhi Wa Sallam, regardless of what any kaafir qadiyani may claim, if mirza ghulam ahmad qadiyan kaafir wants to claim that the Aayah in Surah An-Nisaa refers to him, then he will have to say all the other verses wherein Ar-Rasool is mentioned also refers to him, and he will have to bring his proof, which he will never be able to do.
Yes, the Aayah which does refer to him is:
“And verily those who disbelieve and reject Our signs, they are the inmates of hell, they shall remain therein forever.” – Surah Al-Baqarah, Aayah 39.
And Allaah knows best.
